Saskatchewan Express Entry is a component of the International Skilled Worker streams within the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), which is a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) administered by the province of Saskatchewan. Individuals from the federal Express Entry pool with significant skilled work experience in occupations not included on the SINP Excluded Occupation List can express their interest to be considered for this stream.

Successful candidates nominated through the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream will receive invitations to submit formal applications for Canadian permanent residence. The stream utilizes the SINP Points Assessment Grid to evaluate and rank interested candidates against each other. Only those with the most competitive profiles will be invited to formally apply to the program.

To qualify for the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream, applicants must first be registered in the federal Express Entry pool. To enter the pool, applicants need to meet the requirements for at least one of three federal Economic programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker: Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma and have at least one year of continuous full-time skilled work experience. Skilled work experience is defined as work in positions categorized under National Occupational Classification (NOC) levels 0, 1, 2, or 3. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate language proficiency in either English or French, consistent with Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7.

  • Canadian Experience Class: There is no minimum education requirement for this program. Candidates must have at least one year of full-time skilled work experience in Canada within the three years preceding the application. The work experience does not need to be continuous but must be in positions categorized under NOC levels 0, 1, 2, or 3. Language proficiency in English or French, consistent with CLB level 7, is also required.

  • Federal Skilled Trades: This program also has no minimum education requirement. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade occupation. Additionally, candidates must either possess an offer of employment to work in a skilled trade in Canada or hold a certificate of qualification in their skilled trade issued by a Canadian authority. Language proficiency in English or French, at CLB Level 5 for speaking and listening, and CLB Level 4 for reading and writing, is mandatory.
